Turning Traditional Learning into e-Learning
At a recent Lunch and Learn session "You've Got the Technology - Now get on with It!", Matthew Allen made a convincing argument that e-learning should be approached not as an end in itself, but as a way to use technology to enhance what you already do as an experienced teacher. He presented the following list of ways that traditional learning activities can be enhanced by e-Learning tools and it deserves wider distribution. So, with Matthew's permission, here it is.

It is worth knowing that the version of Blackboard that we are running at Swansea University now supports Blogs, Wikis and Podcasts and to a lesser extent a bulletin board. Chris Jobling has produced a screencast demonstrating how to add a wiki to Blackboard (Blogs are very similar) and how to use Jing to add video demonstrations to Blackboard using Jing. Hopefully further advice and demos will be added to this wiki in due course.
If you have used any of these e-learning tools in your teaching and want to share your experiences, please feel free to Join this wiki and add your story.
